PNRR Campo Ligure: un borgo in filigrana (2023-2026).
This project, financed by the Ministry of Culture (Mic) through the boroughs – village attractiveness call (line B), envisages the implementation of 13 interventions with the objective of strengthening the cultural offer of Campo Ligure (GE) through the identification of the filigree as a revitalising attraction for the area.
The Project was born from a dialogue between public and private local authorities and commercial realities, with the aim of building a path of social, cultural, economic and employment growth with territorial spin-off, creating strong public/public and public/private partnerships.
The actions envisaged by the project are aimed at reconnecting the historical cultural fabric – the Borgo – to the creative fabric – the filigree – in a unicum of spaces and activities, tradition and contemporaneity, also through the recovery of historical buildings.
At Dafne, the former managing body of the Watermark Museum and Spinola Castle, we have a clear vision of the objective to be pursued through our lines of action: to generate a non-extractive community tourism that focuses on authentic and respectful interaction between visitors and the host community, aiming to improve the quality of life of local communities, supporting them in maintaining their strong cultural identity. For this purpose, we are working on the empowerment of the local community, creating a working group of young Campanian inhabitants who are actively involved on a daily basis in the planning, organisation and management of the cultural presidia. In addition, visitors are encouraged to actively participate in activities offered by the host communities, such as local crafts, traditional cuisine, festivals and cultural celebrations.
For this reason, the ‘Il Borgo in Campo’ Subsidiarity Pact was created, to which six territorial Third Sector organisations have adhered and which promotes, through the establishment of extended working tables, the active participation of the inhabitants of the community, involved in land planning and resource management, through participatory processes and public consultations. Collaboration is a key word: community members work together with each other and with local institutions to address common challenges, promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life in the community.
